This agreement is between me the therapist and you, the client and relates specifically to online therapy.
What is Psychodynamic Therapy?
It is a talking therapy where you are encouraged to talk openly about thoughts, concerns, and feelings.

Therapeutic Relationship
One of the cornerstones of Psychodynamic Therapy is the relationship between the client and therapist. This should be built on trust and respect.
Timings, Changes & Cancellations
Sessions are weekly and last for 50 minutes.
Sessions start at the agreed time, even if you have not arrived.
Therapy is open-ended and we do not begin by setting a date to finish.
I will advise, with as much notice as possible, of sessions where I will not be available. This may be due to breaks, illness, acts of God etc. You will not be required to pay for those sessions.
If I can, I will try to accommodate changes to assist you, but this cannot be guaranteed. The time and dates that we agree are held open for you alone.
Please give 24 hours notice of cancellations. After this time, the session will be chargeable.
Missed sessions are chargeable.
Fees and Payment
The standard fee for a session is £50 unless we have agreed otherwise.
Payment for online sessions are made at the end of the session. I supply you with a payment link. I would be grateful for prompt payment unless we have alternative arrangements in place.
Confidentiality
Our sessions are confidential.
There are times when I may need to speak to others about your therapy.
These include:
- my own clinical supervision, where I discuss how I am interacting with my clients and the type of material being discussed. Your name is not used and remains confidential.
- if I become concerned that there is a significant risk to you or another.
- if I am ordered to disclose information by a court.
- if you disclose serious criminality.
- if you disclose money laundering.
- if you disclose information about terrorism.
Governance
I am a member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I abide by their Code of Ethics.
