Following an initial telephone consultation, we will arrange to meet either online or in person for our first therapy session.

If we are meeting at a centre:

I will tell you where the centre is and the door access code. Please remain in the waiting area and do not come to the therapy room as I may still be with a client.

If we are meeting online:

Before our session, I will give you a link for Zoom. Please install Zoom on your device and ensure that any updates are completed. At the time of the session, please be alone, in a quiet place where you will remain undisturbed and where you cannot be overheard.

If we are meeting in a public place:

I will give you a location and time to meet. Please ensure that you are fit for 50 minutes of walking and that you are wearing appropriate clothing/footwear for the conditions. If you are in anyway unsure about your physical health or fitness then please consult with your GP.

What to expect:

  • It will last 50 minutes.
  • I will introduce myself and answer any initial questions you may have.
  • Our session will be confidential.*
  • I will invite you to tell me more about why you have chosen to come to therapy.
  • Then I will make a note of your details and medical history.
  • We will discuss ongoing therapy and the therapy agreement.
  • Payment is made at the end of the session. Card, Cash.

General Notes:

Talking therapy is not an alternative to emergency medical care for those in crisis. I would always refer you to your doctor or local mental health services.
